Was founded on the need for a change in the industry in 2019. For many years customer service and ethics have fallen to the wayside due to greedy business owners. They treat the employee’s as if they are replaceable and have no part of the success of the business. Most have stopped treating the customer like family or a person and more like a number or pay check.
We handle things differently than other companies in the area because we approach things with older values. The employee is the most crucial part of the company and should feel valued. By offering competitive pay, performance based bonuses, education programs, fair treatment and benefits, the employee will feel valued and perform better on customers vehicles. The customer will receive fair, straight, forward, honest service in a timely and consistent fashion. We will take the time to get to know our customers needs and try to treat them fairly like they were family. By providing fair pricing, consistent, timely services, and personal attention we hope to have customers return for their services down the road while referring their friends and family.
The owner grew up on a dairy farm, learning to fix multiple things from tractors and farm equipment to household vehicles at a young age. After high school he went to school in Texas for collision repair and refinishing. After the Marine Corps, he found his way into the towing industry and was active in it for over 10 years while holding a Wreck Master certification. He still tries to find the time to help train and assist his fellow tow truck drivers. At the last shop he worked at, he helped grow the company by word of mouth long before he started working for them. After gaining employment with this company he helped set up and change crucial areas that led to significant growth. An example of this was moving the tire inventory to a new store room and creating a customer area that separated the customer from where the work was performed. The change made things more productive, and gave the customers peace of mind that this was a good place to have their work done. The following week was one of the busiest that the company had since opening. Before moving away he introduced the owner to the idea of the towing industry. Upon moving back he took the lead tow truck Operator position and in a matter of months became fleet manager. His responsibilities included maintaining the fleet of company vehicles, and handling the day to day operations. By introducing a dispatching system and better practices he was able to increase customer satisfaction which took the company from ranking 8th out of 9 tow companies, to 3rd out of 13 in just two years. In August of 2019 Speed-Goat Automotive & Accessories was formed. From its creation till now the company has gone through many changes and hardships, constantly adapting to keep moving forward. They have been through investors backing out last minute with personal money tied up as down payments, to working out of a barn. They were weeks away from locking down a 2 million dollar contract for up-fitting law enforcement vehicles, only to loss it because of the COVID-19 pandemic and the unsure times that would follow. They adapted and started turning wrench from a mobile site while also working full time to take care of their families.
